Winery

Architecture

Tonie Bertherat created the Fabbrica winery with one main objective: a fully functional and fully integrated building in the center of the vineyards. And you won't actually notice the cellar until you pass our cypress trees along our little white road. In front of you will rise an exceptional rectangular block made of brick, wood and large glass window.

600 square meters, including an underground barrel cellar and a warehouse will emerge naturally, surrounded by vineyards and looking towards Pienza and Monte Amiata.

Art

Art

Fabbrica is not an arty winery but we like what is beautiful. Don't expect to have a full lecture of the few pieces of art that you will see, but open your eyes and enjoy the beauty of everything around you.

Philosophy

From simple ideas come true innovation.

Think further, higher; now and for the future. No matter what you want, what they expect and what it will be.
No need to insist on what we all know, but a clear attention is drown about what we don't know yet.

Recalling the past, observing the presence and thinking of the future. This thin nuance allows us to be more proactive about living in respect and harmony with the nature.

0 Carbon foot print

Thanks to the utter opportunity to build up a winery from scratch, everything has been thought to leave the lesser impact on our environment is a work of every day and every task.

Photovoltaic panels provide enough electricity for our annual need.

Recuperation of rain water stocked in our lakes.

High insulation with natural material, such as wood, brick and concrete.

It continues with collaboration with local partners and a clear ZeroKM approach.

Ecological

Being organic is a no brainer but it is not enough. Nowadays, having the Organic label should be the base. We strive to go further and always think about what we may improve - nevermind what people will think.

Lighter weight of bottle, cartons of 12 bottles instead of 6, recyclable cartons and paper, use of screw-caps and crown caps.

Obviously, we recycle all our material and try to use as less as possible plastic. Glass bottle of water are supplied through a vertuous cycle of recycling, coffee is served in ceramic cup, sugar is provided in bulk and only in single unit upon request... these is a work of every moment and for each of us, but we are convinced that it is the only way.
