Fabbrica Pienza is an organic winery, certified since 2015, located near the UNESCO World Heritage town of Pienza in Tuscany. Although generally focused on traditional red Tuscan varieties, it also specialises in Syrah, both as an ingredient for blending and as a monovarietal, as in this Syrah di Fabbrica wine.
Susan Hulme MW: Smoke, sweet liquorice, spice notes; juicy, bright, lively palate, very vibrant style.
Andrea Briccarello: Clean, cold coffee brew nose, some cherry stone freshness , very elegant and well poised on the palate.
Annette Scarfe MW: Spicy redcurrant compote intertwined with sweet cinnamon spice. Violets and leather on the finish with a juicy mid- palate. Classic.

"An easygoing and juicy wine: closer to Chianti than to Montalcino or Montepulciano for its agility and fragrance of the fruit, but with relax and aromatic exuberance from Val d'Orcia. Tonic and tasty, floral and slightly spicy, it's best on a plate of tagliolini with black summer truffles, but it is a passepartout for a large part of the local cuisine."
